It’s hard to talk about the transformative power of love through art, music and creativity without talking about John Lennon. He would have been 73 years old this October. I found this beautiful and yet haunting cover of the song Imagine. It is arranged by Warrilow.
It feels to me like this version should be performed in a Gothic cathedral somewhere. The arrangement is hymn-like and prayerful. It is such an expressive sound poem. I can hear the sound resonating in the universe and floating up to the heavens.
Music is the first of our senses to be awakened in the womb. Our heart beats with a life force. There is rhythm and harmony in the place where we came from. Music is with us every day. I know from my experience that it can also heal us from within. Music is the pillar of my recovery from illness and it sustains my existence here on earth. It brings me so much joy.
